About me
A young and enthusiastic 40 year old, I like nothing more than getting involved in all aspects of sound recording and production. The challenge is getting the most out of the artists and performers as well as exceeding expectations in delivery of the best product.
Additional Courses / Training
I have spent the last 18 years in professional IT in all positions from programmer, database administrator, consultant and departmental head. IT is something that is second nature to me and has been in my blood since I was 14!
Additional Skills
Have been a recording and mix engineer in my private project studio, Chilli Inc Studios (http://www.chilliinc.com) for the past 4 years and worked with a few good songwriters and bands. I have also recorded some fantastic material at the Monday Comedy Club and helped re-enforce the acoustics of the comedy show.
Technical Equipment
Yamaha DM2000 desk for broadcast
Mackie 24/8 mixing console with a number of outboard processors (Behringer/Lexicon reverbs and compressors, Drawmer Limiters/compressors).
operated and recorded using numerous mics: AKG C414, D112, Shure SM57/8, Rode NT1A, 1000 and 2000, Neuman U67, U87, among others...
Industry Awards
well, not quite 'industry' awards, but achieved the student of the year 2006 for the Sound and Media faculty in CWC - bit of trumpet blowing :o)
Referees
Marcus Conrad, Director, Highflyer.tv, Teddington Studios, London

Steve Zissler, Head of Sound, Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, London

Rob Wilson, City of Westminster College

Any other information
I enjoy working with creative teams of people and find myself best when put in a pressure situation - being able to deliver on time and to budget throughout my IT career is no small boast and I hope to carry on my level of commitment, professionalism, determination and personality into the sound/theatre/studio encironments I find myself working in.
